iOS 18.2 Beta 4 brings a series of updates to Camera Control, detailed video timing and Mail interface adjustments, released in early December.
Apple has just released iOS 18.2 Beta 4 for developers with build number 22C5142a. This update marks some notable changes ahead of the official release in early December.
In terms of compatibility, iOS 18.2 will work on all iPhones that can run iOS 18. However, advanced AI features will only be available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 series.
In the camera settings, Apple has added the Camera Control menu from the Accessibility section to the main Camera Control settings. This makes it easier for users to access camera options, while still keeping these features in the main Accessibility menu.
Regarding the video viewing experience, when users rewind a video in the Photos application, the time will be displayed in millisecond detail, making video editing more accurate.
A small but notable change in the Mail app is that the profile picture size has been reduced compared to beta version 3, creating a cleaner and more professional interface.
The public beta version is expected to be released in the near future. Apple also encourages users to provide feedback on their usage experience and report problems through official channels to improve the quality of the upcoming official version.
